Megan Fizer, LMSW, CADC

Hello! I am licensed social worker (LMSW) and a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC) with five years of experience providing therapy to a variety of populations. I offer a warm, accepting, non-judgmental space for my clients to explore the issues that impact both their mental and physical health. I am passionate about helping my clients find freedom from the patterns that keep them from living the values-driven, self-directed, and meaningful life they deserve.

I specialize in addictions, religious trauma/spiritual abuse, PTSD, complex trauma, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and the impacts of societal and cultural oppression. I embrace an eclectic approach to therapy, using whatever methods work best with each person I work with.

I am trained and certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of trauma, and I use interventions from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based CBT (MCBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Liberation Psychology, and Multicultural Practice with my clients, based on their needs and interests. With my background in fine arts, I also enjoy incorporating art and other creative methods of expression in my work with others.
